Decade 6 -- Summer 1999 -- Good-bye to Pinedale Drive
This picture was taken on the night of Mom and Dad's going away party at our neighbors The PIttards house. We spent the night laughing and crying followed by more laughing and crying.
I love that Dad and I have the exact same expression on our faces. I think Lindsay might have been getting goosed in this picture.
Clare was there and she definitely helped ease the burden of saying farewell to our neighborhood of 20 years.
A lot of the details surrounding my parents leaving Pinedale are blurry to me and I don't need to wonder why. It was painful and always will be, but what is not painful is the happiness and joy they have found in their new home in Missoula, Montana. It is a truly amazing place.

I thought about the caption saying that the the party was full of laughing, crying and drinking -- all simultaneous!
My face never gets that red unless I am sunburned or drinking heavily and I think we both know the culprit.
Funny thing is that I have a picture of you sleeping it off after this party. No worries, I will not be posting that on any blog ever.
